About Me...

I was born in the capitol of Latvia, Riga. (Across the sea from Sweden). I grew up in Scandinavia (Denmark), England, and Canada. Currently I am residing on the South-East coast of the USA.

I don't recall when I started writing songs. The urge to express myself musically was a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As I child I taught myself to play the piano, and as a teen I developed a love for the classical guitar. Since the guitar has been my principal instrument.

I wrote songs for voice and guitar and performed for family and friends, as well as in coffee shops and other small venues.

Starting out as an acoustic singer-songwriter I wanted to expand my skills and musical scope. I was interested in New Age music, and was cusrious to experiment with electronic sounds. Among my many inspirations were Enya, Enigma, and Delirium. I saved up for a home-recording setup and began learning the basics of composition, music production, and sound engineering.

"Invisible Rivers EP"
Inga

In early 2005 I recorded my first electronic demos which I shared with friends, artists, and producers that I had met through MySpace.com. The collection of my early solo electronic tracks was later mastered by Eric Scot Porter and released as a digital download. The EP also features a collaboration with Eric on the song "Just to Fly".

"Riding the Wind" (Electronic Album)
Inga

In 2006 I began collaborating with friends, artists, and producers from around the globe — contributing my vocals and songwriting to electronic and new age projects. Consequently the concept for Riding the Wind, my debut album, was born and brought to completion. Riding the Wind was released March 2007. The album ranges in style from ambient electronica, to new age, IDM, chillout and trip-hop. The music was inspired and created over the Internet, featuring guest artists and producers.

Forthcoming Acoustic Album

After working with New Age and Electronic music for the past few years, I wanted to share with my audience the original and more intimate acoustic side of my art. Currently in the works is a follow-up album which remains untitled. The new album is a collection of mellow acoustic melodies and poems sung to a classical guitar, and subtly arranged with other live instruments.
